Laurence Jerman
Head of Research

Laurence Jerman joined Shield as Head of Research in 2001 and is responsible for supporting Shield professionals with research and analysis. He joined Shield following over ten years at American Express Bank as a Financial Analyst. During this time he was responsible for regulatory reporting to the Bank of England and Financial Services Authority. Later Laurence was responsible for the UK branch's New York Head Office reporting and was involved in the migration of Head Office reporting from the Italian, Swiss and Luxembourg branches to the UK and the subsequent monthly reporting.

During his years at Shield, Laurence has been involved in supporting teams in the sale execution of businesses spanning a number of sectors including the TMT sector, the financial services sector, the industrial sector, the healthcare sector and the leisure and tourism sector.

Laurence is married with two young children and enjoys music, football and motorsport.
